Michelle took her first yoga class in1997after moving all alone to Arlington, VA and looking for connections. The class took place in the basement of a retirement home so the pace was extremely slow and the challenge was being content with that. She fell in love with it, and surprise, the connection she found was with herself.
Over the years, moving from city to city, she has witnessed the many different styles and ways that yoga has flourished. She saw how people everywhere seem to find their way to the style that works best for them. As a teacher, she likes to offer experimentation in her classes. She has adapted classes to children and adults with special needs, has taught Ai Chi, which is similar to water yoga, and is certified in trapeze yoga (different than aerial). She is also very interested in Kundalini and the lineages of yoga as it moved from the Hindu region east, north, and eventually west.
Michelle was certified with her 200 hour training in 2019 with Invoke, here in Indianapolis. Outside of yoga she spends too much time on the computer working in tech, helping family and friends in need, and spoiling her cats. She enjoys swimming and hiking.
