Join Ahna, Scott, Anne, Ben and our very own Chuck for an evening of Kirtan (call and repeat chanting) Saturday, December 15th from 6-7:30pm. If you like live music, like to sing or both then this event is made for you!
Kirtan or Kirtana (Sanskrit: कीर्तन; IAST: Kīrtana) is a Sanskrit word that means "narrating, reciting, telling, describing" of an idea or story. It also refers to a genre of spiritual performance arts or bhajan, connoting a musical form of narration or shared recitation and can be very spiritually uplifting. A bhajan literally means "sharing" and has no prescribed form, or set rules, is in free form and normally lyrical and based on melodic ragas.
This is a donation based event benefiting the local organization Second Helpings and any amount is appreciated!
