How the Power of the Pause Program works:
The Power of the Pause is a 2 hour workshop designed to introduce students to a variety of mindfulness tools such as meditation, visualization and conscious breathwork to help students improve communication skills, become more comfortable with uncertainty and adversity and skillfully tap into intuition as a source of knowledge.
The Power of the Pause Program focuses on four key elements of mindfulness:
Presence - Students will explore the physical, emotional and situational triggers that cause them to negatively react in a particular situation rather than taking a pause in the moment to align their intention with a positive action so they can proceed forward in a manner that serves the higher good.
Pause - Students will engage in a group discussion about the different types of pauses that may occur in our lives and identify the obstacles which can make it so hard for us to pause in those crucial moments.
Practice - Students will engage in a variety of mindfulness practices such as meditation, yoga, affirmations and journaling, all of which are designed for self-care and to develop a deeper sense of self-awareness. Students are encouraged to dress in comfortable clothing that allows movement.
Proceed - Students will leave the workshop with simple tools and techniques that can immediately be put into an easy daily mindfulness practice.
